A pure expression of specialty coffee
Making delicious drip filter coffee is easy and the reward is the purest expression of specialty coffee. All you need is well-roasted freshly ground specialty grade coffee, filtered water, a set of scales and 5 minutes.
Insert filter paper in the brewer & ‘rinse’ to wash away the ‘papery’ taste. Put your cup on the scales & your brewer on top, then turn on the scales (Make sure the scales say zero, if not press the tare button).
Tare the scale & start a timer then add 30g of filtered water, just off the boil. TIP: your smartphone will have a timer on it.
Wait 30 seconds.
Now pour slowly until your scale shows 250g, let it drip through. This should take 2-2.5 minutes. If it’s less than 2 mins, make your grind a little finer. If it’s more than 2.5 mins, make your grind a little coarser.
